IT Support RI has been providing superior IT Support since May of 2002.
Our main headquarters is located in North Smithfield, RI, minutes away from the highway. We service and respond to businesses throughout RI, MA, and CT. We employ local and remote technicians all along the East Coast. We are known across Southern New England as a premiere IT Support provider.
Locally Owned and Operated
IT Support RI has been locally owned and operated by the founders since the start.
Founders and CEOs, Nick Bernfeld and Paul Riendeau are regularly involved with the business on a daily basis. They meet with clients and other business owners in the area to discuss management techniques and strategies for growth. We help our partners use technology to succeed and grow.
We as a company try to enrich the lives of not only our clients and employees but also our community. As a company, IT Support RI has participated in worthy causes such as “Make Tracks for Kids”, a 5K race to raise money for Woonsocket families. Also, any profit from the launch of our book, “IT Free Fall” is donated directly to Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Rhode Island. We also regularly donate to these and other charities in our community.

Our mission is to provide quality support with a personal touch. What makes us different is that we pride ourselves on our dedication to our clients and the rapid response time in which we resolve their IT issues. We firmly believe in preventing IT problems and solving them quickly should they arise. We love all things IT and everyone within our business has a passion for technology, which reflects in our work and service.
Our vision is to be the first choice when you want use technology to grow professionally. Embracing technology can streamline process, increase productivity, and eliminate redundant tasks that can be automated. By freeing up the people responsible for these tasks, they can work on more meaningful duties that will enrich their company and improve their own work satisfaction. We practice this within our organization and are constantly looking for ways to improve our own process for a better service delivery to our clients. If our clients grow, we grow, and everyone has more opportunity to achieve greatness.
We value our team and those we work with. We provide a fun and challenging work environment with room for growth for our technicians. We want our technicians to feel more like a family rather than a number. We have quarterly outings that encourage the staff to bond with each other. We want our employees to be happy to come to work and be comfortable here. Many of our employees have been with us for years and there is minimal turnover. Employees that did part ways from us left with positive experiences to bring with them into the future.
We fully believe and stand behind all of our products and services. If our customers are unhappy for any reason, we work with them to come to a solution that works for us and them. We believe quality service and hardware are keys for the success of every network.
We primarily service small to mid-size business clients. We have separate departments for the services we provide and have technicians that specialize in each field. We offer managed IT maintenance, cloud services, anti-virus protection, data backup plans (including local and cloud backups), new hardware including servers, desktops, laptops, networking equipment, and flat rate service plans to all of our clients.
We come from all types of backgrounds and together, we make up a great team. Certain technicians have certain degrees. One technician may have a degree in a field such as servers, while another may have a certification in networking, A+, Microsoft, Cisco, etc.
We realized the tech we had for many years was no longer enough to support the computers and network at all my locations. I was very happy with him but he was one man trying to do it all. When I had multiple locations having tech issues at the same time, he couldn’t be in two places at once. He also was not properly trained in IT. He was someone that worked in my business and knew enough to get us by when there was an issue. After a few Google searches, I found IT Support RI. I called and scheduled an onsite evaluation. They met with me and checked out all my stores. I was so impressed with the professionalism and considerate attitude of Paul, Nick and the team, that I decided to take them on. They worked with my tech guy to transition into their maintenance plan.
When it came time to clean, update, reprogram and reconfigure the registers, networks and servers at all my stores, a team of six techs, including Nick and Paul were on call and ready to work. They worked with us to do it after our stores closed to avoid any business downtime. As we transitioned to a new Point of Sales software, they worked with our new software vendor. For the past year, any speed bump I have run into with technology, I have had IT Support RI there to take control and get me out of a jam. I have never met such a team of eager and enthusiastic individuals. I know how to run my business and they know how to run my technology.
