Benefits of Encryption

Email encryption means email security. By encrypting an email,  only someone with the right authorization or key can decipher your message. You don’t have to worry about information ending up in the wrong hands.

We were impressed from the first moment they responded to our request for a proposal. They quickly familiarized themselves with our needs, software, layout, and demonstrated an immediate understanding of the challenges that we were facing.

I’ve worked for various non-profit organizations, and IT always seems to be an area where we struggle because of resources we have available. Since we started working with IT Support RI, there’s never a blip in our services. They’re always right on target and they’re a pleasure to work with

How to Encrypt an Email

3 Ways To Encrypt Emails

1. Permission
If you access your email through the Outlook application on your computer, click the “Options” tab, then click on the “Permissions” icon.
2. Protect

If you access your email through Outlook Web Access (www.outlook.office365.com), you can encrypt emails via the “Protect” button along the top of a new email.

3. Keyword
You can use a keyword to encrypt your emails. When we set up email encryption for your account, we will set up your encryption keyword. For example, if you’re in the medical field, most of the time your keyword will be “PHI”. If you’re sending Protected Health Information (PHI), simply type “PHI” into the subject line of any email, and the email will be encrypted.
